Francis Edwin "Bub" Wright

Francis Edwin "Bub" Wright, 85, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at home. He was born January 22, 1937, in Henderson, a son of the late John Edwin Wright and Lucy Esther (Robertson) Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Edwin Wright; a sister, Carrie K. Nibert-Boswell; and brothers, Randy and Herman Butterick. Bub was a member of Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry.He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1956 and a retired conductor for CSX Railroad. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Garnette Louise (Neville) Wright of Gallipolis Ferry; daughter, Joyce Wright-Halter of Gallipolis Ferry; daughter-in-law, Tammy Wright of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Joshua Wright, Matthew Wright, David Wright, Thomas Wright, Michael Halter and Morgan Halter all of Columbus; sister, Pansy Spencer of Point Pleasant; brother-in-law, Ray Boswell of Gallipolis Ferry; and multiple nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.A graveside service and burial will follow at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart, with Pastor David Grigsby officiating.
