Francis James "Jim" Reymond, 64, of Point Pleasant, WV died Friday, September 23, 2011 at home. He was born October 6, 1946 in Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Francis Louis Reymond and Emogene (Lamb) Reymond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph Miller. Jim graduated from Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg, WV, and Marshall University. He was an educator and administrator for the Mason County School System for 33 years. He served as a teacher and coach at Point Pleasant Jr. High, taught at Pt. Pleasant High School, principal at Wahama High School (for 13 years), Financial Director for the Mason County Board of Education and retired as a principal at Leon Elementary. Jim was a member and elder of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose, Big Green Club, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He is survived by his wife, Becky (Baker) Reymond of Point Pleasant; his children, Marnie and Jeff Miller of Pataskala, OH, Beth and Chris Simpkins of Catlettsburg, KY, J. Reymond of Morgantown, WV, Paige and Michael Lovejoy of Point Pleasant; and his grandchildren, Lauren Miller, Elijah and Elyn Simpkins, Lexi, Braxton and Ethan Lovejoy. Jim is also survived by his sister Margaret Mraziki of Boonesboro, MD. Jim loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved coaching, teaching and enjoyed life itself. Since his accident in 2003, when he became paralyzed our family has had overwhelming support from the people of Mason County. We would especially like to thank Dr. Ayers and Carla Smith, The Presbyterian Women of the Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, and countless friends and students who went out of their way to help us. A special thank you we extend to our dear friends Sam and Bill Stricklen, Jean Ann and Charlie Pittman, Rita and Mitch Mace, Howard Lee and Suzie Miller and Judy and Pear Markham. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Wahama Jr-Sr High School Improvement Fund, c/o Wahama High School, P.O. Box 348, Mason, WV 25260 or to Point Pleasant Jr-Sr High School Stadium Committee, c/o Ohio Valley Bank, 328 Viand St., Point Pleasant, WV 25550. Attention Mario Liberatore. His body has been donated to Marshall University School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Dave Jackson officiating.
