Frances Sarah Hill, 92, of Point Pleasant went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. Frances was a member of the Wyoma Pentecostal Church, and a homemaker. She was born March 28, 1915 in Henderson, WV to the late Alonzo Smith and Ella (Hicks) Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Jordan on March 25, 1969 and Granville V. Hill on August 12, 2004; four sisters, Elizabeth Nibert, Ethel Collins, Edith Thompson, and Gertrude Smith; seven brothers, Dale Smith, Carl Clonch, Grant Clonch, Everett Clonch, Holbert Clonch, Brady Clonch, and Dayton Clonch; and a son-in-law, Noah Callicoat. Surviving are her daughters, Marcella Callicoat of Point Pleasant; and Shirley (Bill) Hunt of Henderson, NC; grandchildren, David L. (Dawn) Callicoat, Eddie (Diane) Callicoat, Pamela (J.R.) Holsinger, Christina (Tom) Springer, Leonard Norvell, Timothy Norvell, Loleta (Mike) Gjellstad, and Maria Diosana; five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Handley Dunn and Rev. J. R. Holsinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyoma cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry, WV. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
