Emma Lee Mccarty

Emma L. McCarty, 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in Winter Springs, FL. She was born December 7, 1933, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Robert H. Siders Sr. and Jennie B. (Willet) Siders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn S. McCarty; sisters, Jennie Stewart, Nannie Nibert, Millie Bonecutter, Anna Siders, Hazel Siders, Jessie Rulen and Ruby Huddleston; brothers, Robert H. Siders Jr., Worthy Siders Sr., and Eli H. "Mousie" Siders. Emma was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1952 and attended New Hope Bible Baptist Church in Point Pleasant. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa L. and Richard Duane Wallace of Casselberry, FL; grandsons, Robert M. (Robyn) Wallace of Orlando, FL and Michael G. Wallace of Osteen, FL; a great-grandson, Hunter Michael Wallace of Osteen, FL; and multiple nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Dean Warner officiating.Burial will follow at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home.
