Eloise Nibert, 93, of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2021, after a long illness at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home. She was born on Saturday, May 14, 1927, in Henderson, WV.She was the daughter of the late Glen and Rena (Duncan) Pearson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Nibert; two sisters and one brother, Charlotte Blain, Ruth Birchfield and Fred Pearson; and one daughter-in-law, Linda Nibert. Eloise was a faithful member of Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry.She dearly loved her church family and served the Lord faithfully through the Friendly 50s ministry.She was employed by Holzer Hospital and worked in Central Supply for over 20 years.She enjoyed, quilting, crocheting, baking, working in the garden and she loved her flowers. Eloise is survived by one brother, Glen (Velma) Pearson of Lancaster, Ohio; three sons, Bobby Nibert, Steve (Debbie) Nibert and Bruce (Pam) Nibert all of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; one daughter, Twila (Greg) Smith of Parsons, WV.She had seven grandchildren; Mindy (Shaun) Richards of Parkersburg, WV, Kary (Mike) Barton of Point Pleasant, WV,Steve (Jessica) Nibert of Gallipolis Ferry, WV,Kelly (Dean) Beaver of Gallipolis Ferry, WV,Loren (Derrick) Watterson of Letart, WV,Andrea Vincell of Madison, WV and Daniel (Leslie) Smith of Huntsville, AL.She also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a big thank you to the staff and caregivers at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Eloise. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry, WV, with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.Burial will follow at the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, WV.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the church.Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
