Elizabeth Moore

Elizabeth Moore, 82, of Eleanor, WV, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was born September 23, 1939, in Queens, New York, a daughter of the late James Joseph Dermody and Elizabeth Agnes (Garity) Dermody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Arthur Miller Sr., USMC; two sisters, Mary Ellen Dermody and Rita Pladl; a brother, Peter Dermody; and son-in-law, Michael W. Falkner. Elizabeth was a graduate of Our Lady of Wisdom High School Class of 1956, a longtime resident of Mastic Beach, NY and retired from the Town of Brookhaven, NY.She was an avid camper and enjoyed gambling. She is survived by her husband, John Jackson Moore of Eleanor; children, Mary Ellen Falkner of Lufkin, TX, Honorable Robert A. (Kim) Miller of Mastic Beach, NY, Jacqueline E. Moore of Eleanor, John J. (Kim) Moore Jr. of Eleanor, James J. (Trina) Moore of Eleanor, Jeffrey J. Moore of Eleanor and Jennifer E. (Chris Vatter) Moore of Eleanor; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Veronica) Dermody, John (Barbara) Dermody and Paul (Kim) Dermody; a sister, Jeanne (Jack) Guynn; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Dermody. There will be no public services.Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
