Eileen Virginia Hatten, 88, of Gallipolis Ferry, entered the gates of Heaven, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell, OH. She was born March 1, 1927, in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Pearlie Morrison and Eskie (Clay) Morrison. Eileen was a devoted Christian and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bidwell, Ohio. She served the Lord by teaching and helping with many ministries for children and was always telling people how great the Lord was to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Frasier; and one brother, Harrison Morrison. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Glen D. Hatten of Gallipolis Ferry; one son, James (Gloria) Hatten of Gallipolis Ferry; a sister, Doris (Frank) Napier of Wayne, WV; three brothers, Verlin (Terri) Morrison of Monterey, CA, Gene (Maxine) Morrison of Charlotte, NC and Ed (Sherry) Morrison of East Lynn, WV; a sister-in-law, Dorcas Morrison of Huntington, WV; and brother-in-law, Wilbur Lee Hatten of South Point, OH. She adored her two grandsons, Michael (Susan) Hatten of Gallipolis Ferry and Stephen (Jennifer) Hatten of Huntington and her three great grandsons, Garrett and Connor Hatten of Gallipolis Ferry and Russell Hatten of Huntington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews all whom she loved very much. A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. James Lusher officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
