Eileen A. Likens

Eileen A. (Roush) Likens, 84, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Holzer Senior Care in Bidwell, OH. She was born October 5, 1932, in Henderson, a daughter of the late Howard Joseph Roush and Opal Frances (Henry) Roush. Eileen was a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Henderson. She was employed at Quality Manufacturing, Robbins and Myers, and in 2008 retired from Holzer Hospital. She also participated in the Foster Grandparent Program from 2008-2011. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otho "Bay" Likens; two sisters, Della (Roush) Likens and Virginia (Roush) Birchfield; and four brothers, Curtis Roush, Dencil "Dink" Roush, Donald Roush and Dallas "Gene" Roush. Eileen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and John Birchfield of Gallipolis Ferry; a granddaughter, Dr. Aubrey Devin Lane and husband Corey of Lesage; and special nieces and nephews, Donna and Larry Ogier, Connie Hoffman and Jeff Likens who helped regularly with her care. She also leaves a large and beloved family of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Henderson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
