Edward R. "Eddie" Holton

Edward R. "Eddie" Holton, 76, of Milton, WV, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born January 20, 1945, in Huntington, WV to the late Albert Maynard Holton and Virginia Valentine (Dyke) Holton. Eddie was a member and deacon of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Fraziers Bottom, WV.He was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1964, a retired truck driver from Yellow Freight Company with 28 years of service and a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juanita Marie (Sowards) Holton of Milton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Shawn E. Holton of Milton and Jason R. and Kimberley Holton of Milton; three grandchildren, Jessa L. Holton of Washington D.C., Tanner R. Holton and Ty E. Holton of Milton; sister-in-law, Anita Burton of Milton; two favorite nieces, Tara (Jason) Safford of Hurricane and Lisa (Justin) Campbell of Milton; and two special people, Justin and Haylee Meadows of Hurricane. A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Fraziers Bottom, with Pastor Chuck Elkins officiating.Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Tuesday at the church.Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
