Edith Maxine Villars

Edith Maxine Villars, 92, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. She was born August 5, 1928, in Clifton, WV, a daughter of the late Alva Tolliver and Mary (Blake) Tolliver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Oliver L. Tony and Walter L. Villars; a son, Gary Villars; two sisters, Donna Lou Tolliver and Dorothy (Matthew) Long; and three brothers, Russell Lewis Tolliver, Dolas Tolliver and Donald Edward (Wanda) Tolliver. Edith was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1945, and a homemaker. She is survived by five daughters, Diana (Norman) Scarberry of Huntington, WV, Glora Jean Nibert, of Marysville, OH, Karen McDaniels of Inverness, FL, Deborah (Oliver) Young of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Jackie Villars of Proctorville, OH; three sons, Brent Villars of Gallipolis Ferry, Mark (Laura) Villars of Point Pleasant and Dennis (Mechong) Villars of Proctorville; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Thomas of Chesapeake, OH; and two brothers, Dana Lee (Sue) Tolliver of Milton, WV, and Lewis Edward Tolliver (Cindy Cook) of Ashton, WV. A graveside service and burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Moores Chapel Cemetery in Ashton, with Pastor Ronald Long officiating.
