Dr. Earl W. Gault, 81, of Point Pleasant died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. Dr. Gault had served Point Pleasant for over 50 years as a Podiatrist, serving on staff at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Eldercare of Ripley, Lakin Hospital and the Spencer State Hospital in Spencer, WV. He graduated from the Marietta College, Ohio School of Chiropody in 1952, had served during WWII with the U. S. Navy as a medical corpsman on the USS Blue Ridge, and a member of the Mason Co. Civil Air Patrol where he served as squadron commander. He was a Civil Service Commissioner, and was a member of the Airport Advisory Board. He was born August 29, 1926 in Vienna, WV to the late Uriah Leslie and Lulu (Stuckey) Gault. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife, Lorie Gault of Point Pleasant; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Sue (Gault) and Michael Matter of Chillicothe, Ohio and Leslie Ann (Gault) and Jim Workman of Kentucky; stepsons, Clint (Teri) Alley of Huntington and Brian (Jeri) Alley of Hurricane; and several grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home on Thursday, October 25 from 11:00-1:00 p.m.
