Dustin Trent Simpkins

Dustin Trent Simpkins, 35, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born April 9, 1986, in Point Pleasant, a son of William Kenneth Doss and Teresa Jo (Simpkins) Potts. Dustin was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 2004.He was a machinist by trade and loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Chester Simpkins and beloved grandmother, Betty (Price) Simpkins; and paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jane (Ward) Doss. Dustin is survived by his father, William Kenneth Doss of Ashton; mother and stepfather, Teresa and Mike Potts of Gallipolis Ferry; children, Mylee Addison Simpkins and Brody Levi Simpkins of Red House, WV; a sister, Amanda (Adam) Clark of Ona, WV; stepbrother, David Doss of Ashton; stepsister, Dawndela Webb of Lewisburg, NC; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Dustin was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating.Burial will follow at the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home.
