Duane D. "Clat" Clatworthy

Duane Delano "Clat" Clatworthy, 82, of Leon, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. He was born November 5, 1933, in Winfield, a son of the late Joe Harris Clatworthy and Grace Evelyn (Arrington) Clatworthy Howell. Duane was a member of American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant, Stewart Johnson VFW Post 9926 of Mason and Loyal Order of Moose 731 of Point Pleasant. He was retired from Beneficial Finance Company and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sherry Ann (Hartley) Clatworthy of Leon; one daughter, Karen Richey (Keith) of Fulshear, TX; three sons, Steven Clatworthy (Gloria) of San Francisco, CA, Jeremy and Jamie Buskirk both of Point Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Gage, Gavyn and Gatlin Buskirk, Jeremy, Steven, Chandler and Natalie Kronk; two sisters, Judy Buckley of Sarasota, FL and Mickey Burrows of St. Albans; and one brother, Joe Clatworthty of St. Albans. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at American Legion Post 23 in Point Pleasant, with Miles Epling officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant, 100 2nd Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
