Doshie Sydenstricker

Doshie Mae (Siders) Sydenstricker, 88, of Southside, WV died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. Doshie was a homemaker and member of the Wyoma Pentecostal Church at Gallipolis Ferry, and had attended the Shiloah Church while a resident at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 10, 1920 in Hogsett, WV to the late Charles Siders and Mary Lou (Long) Siders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Queen and Warren William Sydenstricker; an infant son, Robert Lee Queen; brothers, Charles Siders, Dennis Siders, Elmer Siders, infant brother Charles Siders; sisters, Bonnie Harless, Mattie Jane Litchfield, and infant sister Mattie Siders. Surviving are her children, Martha(Johnny) Hoschar of Pomeroy, Ohio; Virgil (Vanessa) Queen of Point Pleasant; Cecil (Mary) Queen of Point Pleasant, Birdie (Bertha) Queen of Southside, WV, William (Helen) Sydenstricker of Huntington, WV, and Richard (Brenda) Sydenstricker of Southside; a brother, John Siders of Gallipolis, Ohio; and a sister,Virginia Ruth Kinnaird of Gallipolis Ferry; 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Loggerhead Cemetery in Southside, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.,Monday, March 31, 2008 at the funeral home.
