Dorothy I. Thomas, 92, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at home with family and friends by her side. She was born December 26, 1923, in West Columbia, WV, a daughter of the late Jesse William Coleman and Lou Emma (Jones) Coleman Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half brother, Orville Coleman; one brother, Jesse Coleman; two sisters, Bessie Mattox and Peggy Hoffman; and son-in-law, Justin W. Fowler. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harold E. Thomas; three daughters and son-in-law, Sheila Fowler, Sherry Thomas and Haretta and Sam Connolly all of Point Pleasant; one brother, Charles Edward (Ruth) Coleman of Baltimore, OH. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Bridget (Joe) Roy of Lavalette, WV and Jeremy (Jessica) Connolly of Point Pleasant; a step grandson Jamie (Brandi) Connolly; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Kendal Connolly of Point Pleasant; two step great-grandsons, Brandon Connolly and Tommy Connolly; several nieces and nephews; and a very good friend and caregiver Sylvia Plantz. A graveside service and burial will be 3 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Joe Hammack officiating.
