Dorothy Ann Coleman

Dorothy Ann Coleman, 85, of Apple Grove, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice, in Huntington.

She was born July 7, 1938, in Mercers Bottom, WV, a daughter of the late Robert Plants Jr. and Hallie Ann (Young) Plants.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Coleman; sisters, Violet Chapman, Doris Lanzotti, Alma McConnell and Mable Amerson; and brothers, Walter Plants, Charles Plants and George Plants.

She is survived by a sister, Emma Long of Apple Grove; brothers, James (Marsha) Plants of Apple Grove, Noah Plants of Apple Grove, Larry Plants of Troy, OH, and Forrest Plants; a special nephew, Craig Plants of Apple Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Barton Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, with Pastor Ronald Long officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
