Donna Jean Richmond

Donna Jean Richmond, 85, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a prolonged illness on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. She was born July 13, 1936, in Mt. Nebo, WV, a daughter of the late Oliver Murphy and Josephine (Odell) Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; four brothers; and two sons-in-law, Franklin Mitchell and Michael Bentley Sr. Donna was a homemaker and member of the Victory Baptist Church in Middleport, OH. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Wilmer Edward "Bud" Richmond of Point Pleasant; children, Margaret "Sue" Bentley of Gallipolis Ferry, Larry E. (Debra) Richmond of Spencer, OH, Allan "Wayne" Richmond of Point Pleasant, Ramona "Kay" (Thomas) Palko of Medina, OH, Phyllis (Mark) Ollis of Louisville, OH, Carolyn R. Mitchell of Chloe, WV, Catherine (Michael) Stamps of Colorado Springs, CO, Dennis R. (Mary Kay) Richmond of Copperas Cove, TX, and Nancy J. (John "Jr.") Burton of Point Pleasant; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Willard Murphy of North Ridge, OH. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. James Keesee officiating.Burial will follow at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart, WV.Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
