Donald A. "John" Nibert, 82, of Point Pleasant, WV, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Arbors of Gallipolis, OH. He was born February 22, 1933, in Gallipolis Ferry, WV, a son of the late Emmett Nibert and Katherine Elizabeth (Gillispie) Nibert. Donald was a United States Navy veteran and was retired from Ravenswood Aluminum with 37 years of service. After retirement, he went to work at Walmart in the paint department in Ripley, WV. He was a Christian and member of the Independent United Brethren Church in Ravenswood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, John D. Nibert and three brothers, William, Robert and Roger Nibert. He is survived by his wife, Lois Nibert of Sandyville; one son, Donald Keith Nibert (Charity) of Ravenswood; one daughter, Jacqui Nutter of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren, Joee Flaningan of Columbus, Trenton Nutter of Columbus, Jacob Nibert of Hillsboro, OH, Jordan Nibert of Hillsboro, Jeffrey Cole of Ravenswood, Jordan Cole of Ravenswood and Jonathan Cole of Ravenswood; two sisters, Nadene Pearson (Fred) of Point Pleasant and Irene Wandling of Delaware, OH. A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant with Pastor Anton Hager officiating. Military graveside rites will be given by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the Point Pleasant American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant.
