Dawn Ellen Gandee

Dawn Ellen Gandee, 55, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born May 26, 1965, a daughter of the late Gerald "Jerry" Haffelt and Donna L. (Dewees) Parsons. Dawn was a member of Fisherman's Net Ministries of Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Chapter 75 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate and salutatorian of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1983 and former employee of the Mason County Clerks Office and Mason County Circuit Clerks Office. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Carl Ray Parsons. Dawn is survived by her husband of 37 years, Raymond L. Gandee of Point Pleasant; children, Chelsi R. Gandee of Bidwell, OH, Raymond "Ray" Jr. (Shelby) Gandee of Point Pleasant and Karli N. (Brandon) Shinn of Leon; two grandchildren, Asher G. Gandee and Jameson R. Gandee; sister, Gwen A. Haffelt of Huntington; aunt, Rev. Annetta Durst; and several extended family members. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Social distancing will be observed and face masks will be required. A private family service and burial will be Monday, July 27, 2020, with Pastor Randy Parsons officiating.
