David William Lloyd

David William Lloyd, 83, of Apple Grove, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.

He was born January 21, 1941, in Nicholas County, WV, a son of the late Charles Mancel Lloyd and Hazel M. (Murphy) Lloyd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jo Ann Lloyd; and three sisters and one brother.

David was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, Class of 1958 and Marshall University, Class of 1990. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Brothers of the Wheel Mother Chapter in Gallipolis Ferry, WV.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William Paul "Bill" and Melissa Lloyd of Gallipolis Ferry, Jason Edmond Lloyd of Apple Grove and James David  and Emilie Lloyd of Charleston, WV; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Lynn and David Elmore of Elkview, WV and Janie Marie and Scott Stapleton of Spring Hill, FL; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
