David L. "Sam" Sprouse

David L. "Sam" Sprouse, 74, of West Columbia, WV, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was born April 14, 1938 in West Columbia, a son of the late Wongga Eileen "Tootie" (Sprouse) Hoffman and James R. "Jim Bob" Hoffman. Sam was a retired journeyman electrician from the IBEW No. 317 Electrical Workers of Huntington, WV, and served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry. He is survived by his son, James Franklin (Sarah) Sprouse of West Columbia; and one sister, Margie (Robert) Steele of Chapmanville, WV. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hardgraves officiating.
