David O'Neal Jordan

David O'Neal Jordan, 67, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at home. He was born August 10, 1944 in Pittsburg, PA, a son of the late Samuel Emmet Jordan and Nettie Snow (Barnes) Jordan. David was a farmer, and member of Beech Hill United Methodist Church and the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Jordan. Surviving are his wife, Clara Virginia (Jeffers) Jordan of Gallipolis Ferry; one daughter, Virginia Long of Gallipolis Ferry; three sons, Wendell Jordan of Gallipolis Ferry; Davie Jordan of Point Pleasant, and David Jordan; three sisters, Dorothy Lipscomb of Terra Alta, WV, Betty Bunner of Ripley, WV, and Pat Rankin of Washington, WV; one brother, James (Audrey) Jordan of Langeloth, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Bert Flora officiating.
