David Allen Hanshaw

David Allen Hanshaw, 64, of Mason, WV and formerly of Chatham and Lodi, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday, October 9, 2023.

He was born April 11, 1959, in Dennison, Ohio to Ronnie and Bonnie (Hall) Hanshaw.

David grew up in Chatham and attended the Cloverleaf Schools.  He had lived in Lodi before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC where he resided for over 20 years.

David was employed at Moormans in Lodi and later worked as a handyman of all trades in Myrtle Beach.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, as well as woodworking and following NASCAR.  He found great enjoyment in just talking with people.

David dearly loved his daughters, Lisa Tomes and April (Bobby) Schramm; his grandchildren, Mariah, Michael, Bianca, William and Robby and his great-granddaughter, Gracie.  Also surviving is his mother, Bonnie Hanshaw; and a brother, Doug Hanshaw.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Hanshaw and sister, Donna Hanshaw.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina Street, Lodi, OH, with Rev. David Dake officiating.  Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
