Cynthia Ann Birr

Cynthia Ann Birr, 68, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at home.

She was born April 25, 1955, in Niles, MI, a daughter of the late Richard Eugene Arter Sr. and Lois June (Rinehart) Arter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David Alan Meeks; and brothers, Michael, Brian and Rich Arter.

Cynthia was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge No. 599 of Elkhart, IN.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ronald G. Birr of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Tesa J. (Adam Loomis) Gibson of Matthews, NC; son, Roger Dean Jr. (Becky) Gibson of Gallipolis Ferry; stepsons, Randy Birr of Elkhart, IN and Gregory (Dawn) Birr of Nappanee, IN; a sister, Sandy (Chris) Kraus of Elkhart, IN; brothers, Terry (Maxine) Arter of Sebring, FL and Tim (Jenny) Arter of Georgia; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and furry companion Chico.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
