Craig "Scott" Bird

Craig "Scott" Bird, 30, of Leechburg, PA, passed away at his home unexpectedly Saturday, July 28, 2018. He was born August 31, 1987, in Denver, Colorado, a son of the late Richard Lee Bird Jr. and Linda Jordan Taylor.Scott was a graduate of Lone Oak High School Class of 2005, in Paducah, Kentucky. He enjoyed traveling and lived in Mesa, Arizona; Huntington, West Virginia; Point Pleasant, West Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was adventurous and loved Star Trek, World Cup Soccer and his beloved New England Patriots.He is survived by his beloved mother and stepfather, Linda Jordan (Bob) Taylor of Paducah, KY; three sisters, Melissa (Richie) Taylor of Point Pleasant, Krystal (Jose) Loverin of Bend, Oregon and Kara Bird of Buffalo, New York; five nieces, Lyndee and Macy Taylor of Point Pleasant and Ashlee, Erika and Mia of Bend, Oregon; and a nephew, Justin of Buffalo, New York.He is also survived by his girlfriend of two years, Melissa Blystone and her son Nik, who he loved dearly. As well as his dedicated friend Lloyd Moore of Phoenix, Arizona who he would only call Lloyd Banks.A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Mark Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Blaine Memorial Gardens in Cottageville, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
