Connie Sue Mccallister

Connie Sue McCallister, 69, of Apple Grove, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at home.

She was born March 14, 1954, in Apple Grove, a daughter of the late John Henry Christy and Zelma (Litchfield) Christy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Dewayne McCallister; a sister, Mary Jeffers Kinniard; and brothers, Joe Christy and Tom Christy.

Connie was a member of Millstone Church in Apple Grove.  She was a homemaker and loved to make quilts.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Ernest McCallister of Apple Grove; son, Chad W. McCallister of Apple Grove; grandson, Devin Mason (Cierra) McCallister of Apple Grove; great-grandchildren, Greysin, Grant and Hollston McCallister of Apple Grove; and sisters, Janice (Scott) Gitchell of Georgia, Lou (Sam) Jeffers of Apple Grove and twin sister Bonnie Duncan of Gallipolis, OH; special caregiver, Heather May Foster of Apple Grove; and many family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Cathy Searls officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Sunday at the funeral home.
