Clayton Alan Faber

Clayton A. Faber, 77, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. He was born January 4, 1945, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Frank Glen Faber and Opal Fay (Miller) Faber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy J. Brick; and a brother, Robert E. Faber. Clayton was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School Class of 1963 and attended West Virginia State College in Institute, WV. He was a member of the Minturn Lodge #19 A.F. & A.M. of Point Pleasant and attended New Hope Bible Baptist Church. Clayton had worked as a lab operator for Goodyear, Shell and retired from M & G Polymers, with 38 years service. After retirement, he owned and operated Faber Delivery Service for eight years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Agnes A. (Songer) Faber of Gallipolis Ferry; sons, Dr. David C. (Sherri) Faber of Roaring Spring, PA and Bryan R. (Jenny) Faber of Saint Albans, WV; grandchildren, Tyler D. Faber, Justin Morgan, Autumn Morgan and Jacob Morgan; one brother, Glen (Delores) Faber of Jasper, GA; brother-in-law, William (Nellie) Songer of Charleston; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Ronald Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home.
