Clarice Opal Jones

Mrs. Clarice Opal Jones, 97, of Point Pleasant, WV, widow of Charles Russell Jones, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, at the Holzer Assisted Living Center, Gallipolis, OH. She was born August 20, 1914 at Maconnelsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Vallie and Elizabeth Durst Bauer. Other family members who preceded her in death are a son, Charles R. Jones, II, a sister Lorena Bauer Floyd, and brothers, Sidney (Perch) Bauer, Manford L. Bauer, Vallie Bauer, Jr, and Christopher Bauer. Surviving are a daughter Elizabeth Smith of Adrian, MI, a grandson Dr. Todd Smith, of Temperance, MI, daughter-in-law, Susan Gray Jones of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Sisters, Garnet Schwartz, of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Marjorie Costanzo, of Wheeling, WV, Gladys Chapman of Huntington, WV, and brothers, Mack Bauer of Pt. Pleasant, WV, and Merald Wayne Bauer of Proctorville, OH She was blessed to be part of a large and loving family consisting of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home Point Pleasant, WV, with Rev. Warren Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Pt. Pleasant, WV. Friends may call at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Monday, June 25, 2012 from 6pm until 8pm.
