Clarence "Denny" Glenn

Clarence Denver "Denny" Glenn Jr., 67, of Southside, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at home. He was born March 11, 1954, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Clarence Denver Glenn Sr. and Grace Delores (Woyan) Glenn of Southside. Denny served his country in the United States Army and had worked as a deckhand with 30 yrs. service for the former Ohio River Company.In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing and NASCAR. In addition to his mother Delores, he is survived by children, Michael Glenn of Southside, Shane Glenn of Southside, Kristian Matheny of Columbus, OH and Steffani (Luke) Patterson of Point Pleasant; a sister, Dianna Glenn of Southside; and grandchildren, Jacob Matheny, Blake Matheny, Chloe Sellers, Isabel Sellers, Liam Sellers and Luke Patterson. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Beech Hill Cemetery in Southside, with Rev. Bert Flora officiating. Military graveside honors will be given by the West Virginia Army Honor Guard and the Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 of Mason, WV. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. In lieu of flowers for those considering an expression of sympathy, contributions may be made to the Beech Hill Cemetery Fund c/o of Roger Hopson, 18751 Kanawha Valley Road, Southside, WV 25187.
