Clarence Denver Glenn, 92, of Southside, died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH. He was born December 16, 1923, in Southside, a son of the late Clarence Thomas Glenn and Dora Elizabeth (Dowell) Glenn. Denver was a member of Beech Hill United Methodist Church and the church Board of Trustees. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and had worked 30 years for the Ohio River Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Sally Long, Shirley Glenn, Freda Glenn, Louise Hopson and Alice Taylor; one brother, Don Glenn; and brother-in-law, Herbert "Tucker" Williamson. He is survived by his wife, Grace Delores (Woyan) Glenn of Southside; a daughter, Dianna Glenn of Southside; one son, Clarence Denver "Denny" Glenn Jr. and wife Sherry of Southside; four grandchildren, Michael Glenn, Shane Glenn, Kristian Matheny, and Steffani Glenn; five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Blake Matheny, and Chloe, Isabel, and Liam Sellers; three sisters, Aileen Williamson of Winfield, Irene Long of Letart, and Anna (Jack) Ocheltree of Point Pleasant; four sisters-in-law, Zertha Knapp of Southside, Dollie Miihlbach of Henderson, Arlene (Preston) Love of Point Pleasant, and Vera "Jane" Woyan of Pomeroy; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Beech Hill United Methodist Church in Southside, with Pastors Jack Mayes and Nancy Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant and one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
