Clarence Clay "Bull" Clonch, 73, of Winfield, WV, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.
He was born October 16, 1950, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Clarence D. Clonch and Evelyn F. (Bailey) Clonch.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Benford Clonch; and sisters, Diana Bush and Gloria Litchfield.
Clarence was a member of Souls Harbor Church in Belleview, FL and an ordained minister. He graduated from Point Pleasant High School Class of 1970, where he played football. He was a retired boilermaker and member of Boilermakers Local 667 in Winfield. Clarence loved his dogs and in his spare time he liked to fish and play the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay (Flowers) Clonch, together they shared 45 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Christopher McClellan of Gallipolis Ferry; son and daughter-in-law, Clarence C. Jr. and Michelle Clonch of Henderson; a stepdaughter, Dennine (Alfred) Horton of Ocala, FL; sisters and brother, Mary Myers, John (Betsy) Clonch and Eula Clonch; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Donnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
