Christina Joann Rice

Christina Joann Rice, 58, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH. She was born February 27, 1959, in Gallipolis, a daughter of the late Densil O. Sayre and Jessie B. (Tucker) Sayre. Chris was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1977 and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a former office manager for MOVC and had also worked for State Farm Insurance in the office of Ty Somerville, agent. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Brent Sayre. She is survived by her husband, Jerold H. "Jerry" Rice of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Leslee Rice of Point Pleasant; two brothers, Densil Duane (Kelli) Sayre of Point Pleasant and Steven K. (Cindy) Sayre of Broken Arrow, OK; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many special friends. In honoring her wishes, a private service and burial in Suncrest Cemetery will be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
