Chester Lee Holland, 73, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at home. He was born September 5, 1937, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Russell "Gib" Holland and Nona Agnes (Deweese) Holland. Chester was a U.S. Air Force veteran, drywall finisher, and member of Carpenters Local 1159 of Point Pleasant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chester "Lee" Holland II; one infant son; an infant sister, Carolyn Holland; and two brothers, Glen Holland and J. Thomas Holland. Chester is survived by his daughter, Teresa Mitchell of Point Pleasant; two granddaughters, Brandi and Mariah Mitchell of Point Pleasant; one brother, Russell V. (Janet) Holland of Point Pleasant; a sister, Eloise Kemper of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Romona Holland and Gertrude Holland both of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor William "Tiny" Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant where militiary graveside rites will be given by WV Air Force Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant.
