Charles Olen Watson

Charles Olen Watson, 76, of Point Pleasant, died Monday, March 12, 2018, at Eldercare of Ripley, Ripley, WV.He was born November 3, 1941, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late William D. Watson and Edna M. (Carr) Watson.Charles was a retired service technician from Mountaineer Gas Company with 33 yrs. service. He served from 1963-1969 in the Army/National Guard, was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1959 and in his spare time enjoyed hunting and fishing.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet L. (Jeffers) Watson.He is survived by three daughters, Valerie L. (Christopher) Freeman of Point Pleasant, Angela L. Bartee of Point Pleasant and Karen M. (Chris) Ratliff of Gallipolis, OH; two sons, Christopher O. (Linda) Watson of Point Pleasant and Darin A. (Shelly) Watson of Point Pleasant; 14 grandchildren, Jared (Javonna) Bartee, Jennifer Bartee, Zander Watson, Zoey Watson, Madeline Freeman, Mackenzie Freeman, Mitchell Freeman, Mackandle Freeman, Garrett Watson, Kamryn Watson, Hunter Watson, Dakota Coughenour and fiancee Tessa Wyant, Austin Coughenour and Taylor Ratliff; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden James Bartee, River Mathew Coughenour and Kinley Grace Coughenour.A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Matthew Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at the Carr Family Cemetery in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home.
