Charles Mason "Jinks" Hudson, 71, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, at home. He was born October 15, 1944, in Henderson, a son of the late Robert M. Hudson and Katherine Marie (Ord) Hudson. Jinks served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant, had worked as a Mason County deputy and retired from AKZO Nobel after 43 years. He enjoyed riding his razor, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Likens; and brothers, Robert Hudson and twin infant brother. Jinks is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anita (McCallister) Hudson of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters, Heather (Chris) Stanley of Elkins, WV and Olivia (Mike) Balas of Glen Allen, VA; one son, Troy (RaeAnna) Hudson of Gallipolis Ferry; a stepdaughter, Monica Siders of Iowa Park, TX; and five grandchildren. Also surviving, are two sisters, Juanita (Sonny) Cossin of Leon and Cora "Pooch" Likens of Gallipolis Ferry; three brothers, Clifford (Betty) Hudson of Henderson, Richie Hudson of Rio Grande, OH and John (Shirley) Hudson of Prospect, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
