Charles Lee Baird

Charles Lee Baird, 89, of Point Pleasant, formerly of Southside, when home to be with his Lord Friday, July 22, 2016, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. He was born April 6, 1927, in Hogsett, WV, a son of the late Charles A. Baird Sr. and Iva (Bush) Baird. Lee was a member of Hambrick Church at Southside. He was the owner of Baird Logging for many years and had pastored various churches in Mason County for 42 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Patricia L. Baird and Yvonne Baird; a son, Gary Lee Baird; two brothers, William "Bill" Baird and James Randall Baird; one sister, Vonceil Bush; grandson, Joshua L. Baird; and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Baird. He is survived by one son, Charles Aaron Baird; daughter-in-law, Ruth Baird of Southside; one sister, Jean (Bob) Arnold of Point Pleasant; four grandchildren, Travis, Aaron, Jerrod, and Talena Baird; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Carl "Boxer" Swisher officiating. Burial will follow at Hambrick Cemetery in Southside.
