Charles Robert Hatfield Jr. 31, of Gallipolis, Ohio, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at home. He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1995 and was a deckhand with ABCL Towing. Charlie was born Feb. 6, 1977 in Point Pleasant to Charles Robert Hatfield and Lana Beth (Blankenship). He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bob Hatfield; maternal grandmother, Maxine Blankenship; sister, Joya Dawn Wilson; aunt, Hope DeLong; and a cousin, Michelle Eagan. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Lana and Bobby Thomas of Leon; father and stepmother, Charles Robert and Sheila Hatfield of Gallipolis; paternal grandmother, Maxine Hatfield of Point Pleasant; maternal grandfather, George Blankenship of Point Pleasant; stepsister, Angela M. Thomas of Friendly, WV; stepbrother, Abner Henry of Gallipolis; aunts, Tina (David) Myers of Point Pleasant and Debbie (Marvin) Rollins of Leon; brother-in-law, Pat M. Wilson IV of Bancroft, WV; two nephews, Dalton Wilson of Bancroft and Braedyn Thomas of Friendly; and cousins, Shane Myers, Rodney Pearce, Chris Pearce, and Anthony Pearce all of Point Pleasant. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Minister Pete Allinder officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Leon, WV.
