Charles Anderson "Andy" Cottrill

Charles Anderson "Andy" Cottrill, 34, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011. Andy was born May 31, 1977 in Morgantown, WV, a son of Charles E. "Bud" Cottrill and Lu Anne (Blankenship) Cottrill of St. Albans, WV. He graduated from Hedgesville (WV) High School in 1995 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from West Virginia University in 2002. He was currently employed as a teacher of English at Dunnellon High School, Dunnellon, Florida. Beloved by both students and staff, he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Jewell Cottrill, and Charles "Mitch" and Betty Blankenship; and a close cousin, April Dawn Blankenship. Surviving in addition to his parents, are one sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jimmy Hall of Raleigh, North Carolina; and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, 2226 Jackson Avenue, Point Pleasant, WV with Pastor Ed Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Morgan Cemetery in Leon, WV. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Andy Cottrill Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 1242, St. Albans, WV, 25177.
