Charles Keith "Charlie" Chapman

Charles Keith Chapman “Charlie”, 67 of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on December 17, 2024 with family by his side.  He was born December 18, 1956 to the late Clarence “Buddy” and Ilene Chapman.

Charlie worked for the city of Point Pleasant for many years until his health forced him to retire.  He was also a mechanic all of his life and was always working on some kind of vehicle.  He had a passion for cars/trucks and loved trading them, frequently!  You never knew what he would be driving.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancée, Naomi Vaughn; two brothers, James Chapman and Mitchell Chapman; two sisters Carolyn Denny and Peggy Jones; and two of his nephews, Bubby Denny and Junior Pearson.

Charlie is survived by his children, JR (Tabitha) Chapman of Leon and Charles “Mooch” (Faith) Chapman of West Columbia; four sisters, Vicki Pearson, June Price, Linda (Robbie) Davis and Donna “Gidget” Bush all of Point Pleasant; two brothers, Bruce (Michelle) Chapman of Point Pleasant and Dusty Chapman of Henderson, WV; two brother-in-laws, Chuck Denny of Point  Pleasant and Ernie Jones of Gallipolis Ferry; four grandchildren, Jason Chapman, Emily Chapman, Jada Chapman and  Kaylee Chapman; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Gig Page officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
