Carrie L. Forshee, 95, of Point Pleasant died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. Carrie was a homemaker, and a member of the Senior Citizens, Daughters of the American Revolution, volunteer at Pleasant Valley Hospital, and past Heritage Queen of Point Pleasant. She was born October 10, 1912 in Buffalo, WV to the late Wilkes Whittington and Ida (Rickard) Whittington. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Forshee; two brothers, John Whittington, and Ernest Whittington; and two sisters, Helen Blessing and Mary McClanahan. Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Ann Moore of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two sisters, Emma Lee Quarles and Ida M. Whittington of Charleston, WV; one brother,Clarence Whittington of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Bibria Phillips and Joseph Moore of Fort Lauderdale; and Cameron McCaslin; two great grandchildren, Kodi Moore and Keeley Moore of Fort Lauderdale; several nieces and nephews; and three good friends, Marvin Palmer of Harrisburg, PA; Betty Dunlap and Emma Boswell of Point Pleasant. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm., Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant with A.J. Satterfield officiating. There will be no visitation.
