Carl Ray Wilson Sr., 71, of Leon, died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at home surrounded by family. He was born May 25, 1945, in Leon, a son of the late Brother Wilson Sr. and Bessie (Rollins) Wilson. Carl Ray was a United States Army Veteran and retired employee of the City Sewer Plant in Fostoria, OH. He was a member of the Fostoria United Sportsmen Club and the Amvets Post 69 of Fostoria. He enjoyed four wheeler riding, hanging out with family and friends and also enjoyed his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Waltemeyer; one brother, Frank Wilson; and son-in-law, Leo Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Ann Jane (Miller) Wilson of Leon; one daughter, Debra Gonzales of Fostoria; three sons, Carl R. Wilson Jr. and wife Deanna, Brian Wilson and Kirby Wilson and wife Kelly all of Fostoria; two brothers, Brother Wilson Jr. and Clayton Wilson of Fostoria; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Leon. There will be no public services.
