Bonnie Lou McCoy, 55, of Henderson, died Friday, June 17, 2016, at home. She was born November 1, 1960, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Captain William "Bill" Patterson and Virginia Ann (Mayes) Patterson. Bonnie was a member of the House of Praise and Worship Church. She was also a homemaker and member of Kanawha Valley Campgrounds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, James Patterson, Billy Patterson, Thomas "Tucker" Mayes, Howard Allen Patterson and Lawrence Edward Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Otis "Art" McCoy of Henderson; a daughter, Brandy and James Beaver of Henderson; and three grandchildren, Cody McCoy, Colton McCoy, and Braydon McCoy all of Henderson. Also surviving are three sisters, Patsy (Johnny) McDermitt of Point Pleasant, Molly Coleman of Southside and Sissy (Sonny) Hammond of Henderson; two brothers, Ronnie Mayes of Point Pleasant and Rex (Oneta) Patterson of Henderson; a special nephew, Dewey Coleman of Henderson; godson, Shawn (Brittany) Gibson and their son Layne; a special cousin, Ronnie Wyant; special friends, Edna Logan and Billy Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Brother Jack McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at the McCoy Family Cemetery in Henderson. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Sunday at the funeral home.
