Bobby Lee Henry

Bobby Lee Henry, 79, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center with his family at his side. He was born January 10, 1931 in Mason County, a son of the late Lee and Maxine (Hatfield) Henry. Bobby had worked for the B & O Railroad until 1958 and then became a full time farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Henry; paternal grandparents, George and Alta Henry; maternal grandparents, James and Martha Hatfield; a nephew, Shawn Micheal Henry; and a niece Teresa Ann Henry. Bobby is survived by his wife of 54 years, Violet (Bush) Henry of Gallipolis Ferry; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Polly Henry of Gallipolis Ferry; two granddaughters, Amanda (Chad) Bates and Sara (Josh) Gibson; two step grandchildren, Luke (Hope) Wright and Mary Wright; three great grandchildren, Kayce and Colby Arrington and Garret Bates; three step great grandchildren, Seth Bates, Cassidy and Jordan Wright; one sister, Linda Follrod of Gallipolis, Ohio; two brothers, Roy (Wanda) Henry of Point Pleasant and Bill (Lois) Henry of Thurman, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. William "Bud" Hatfield and Pastor Ted Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
