Beverly Kay (Morgan) Ward

Beverly Kay (Morgan) Ward, 53, of Leon, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at home. She was born July 8, 1963, in Parkersburg, a daughter of William Gene Morgan and Jeanette Lee (Browning) Morgan of Ravenswood. Beverly was a homemaker and graduate of Ravenswood High School Class of 1981. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, David Ward Jr. of Leon; one son, Dakota "Kody" Lee Ward of Leon; a stepson, David C. III (CeCelia) Ward of Haysi, VA; two grandsons, Drevan Cane Ward and Cayden Ward of Haysi, VA; one sister, Tammy (Kevin) Lawhon of Hurricane; and a brother, William Gene Jr. (Tracy) Morgan of Denver, Colorado. A memorial service will be 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Sampy Hart officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the memorial service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hodges Cemetery in Hurricane.
