Betty H. Wallis, 84, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015, at Midland Meadows Senior Living in Ona, WV. She was born September 4, 1930, in Kanauga, OH, a daughter of the late Garry Elsworth Roach and Effie Evelyn (Birchfield) Roach. Betty was a member of Bellemead United Methodist Church of Point Pleasant and the United Methodist Women. She graduated from Point Pleasant High School Class of 1948, was a member of the Pleasant Valley Hospital Auxiliary and retired as secretary from the Mason County Schools with 38 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Worthy Brooklyn Wallis. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and Louise Wallis of Barboursville; and four grandchildren, Nathan Michael Wallis, Trent Andrew Wallis, Kaitlyn Nicole Wallis, and Brooklyn Noel Wallis. Also surviving are four brothers, Garry Thomas (Phyllis) Roach of Henderson, WV, James Reynolds of Gallipolis Ferry, Johnny (Sue) Reynolds of Gallipolis Ferry and Wesley "Sonny" (Marlene) Reynolds of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Chip Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Henderson.
