Betty Ruth Rayburn

Betty R. Rayburn, 68, of Point Pleasant died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant after a short illness. She was a homemaker, and attended Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry. Betty was born Sept. 23, 1940 in Leachville, Ark., to the late Bud and Fonzene Phillips. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Lynn Rayburn, and Christina Rayburn; and a sister, Brenda Phillips. Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Rayburn of Point Pleasant; her children, Gary and Sandy Rayburn, Brian and Tina Rayburn, Jason Rayburn, Joanne Colegrove, and Yvonne Rayburn all of Point Pleasant; brother, Nathan D. Phillips of Escondido, Calf.; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hammack officiating. A private burial will be held in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart, WV. There will be no visitation.
