Betty Jane Miller

Betty Jane Miller, 90, of Point Pleasant, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born August 5, 1930, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Roy Newell Sr. and Freda Ellen (Rayburn) Newell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Miller; and four brothers, Robert W. Newell, Donald D. Newell, Roy Newell Jr. and Nelson Ray Newell. Betty was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union of Gallipolis, OH. She had traveled the world with Frank, while he served in the military. She enjoyed square dancing and riding with her husband on his Harley motorcycle. She is survived by a sister, Marie E. Plants of Point Pleasant; two special nephews, Nelson Lee (Trenda) Newell of Point Pleasant and Scott (Jodi) Newell of Gallipolis; four special nieces, Peggy Johnson of New Haven, Alfrenda Hupp of Point Pleasant, Gerlinda Salyers of Ashville, OH and Kristy Ann Newell of Bidwell; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a special friend, Ralph Stover of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Burial will follow at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
