Betty Jo Vanpelt

Betty Jo Vanpelt, 78, of West Columbia, formerly of Elkins, WV, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Lakin Hospital in West Columbia. She was born August 3, 1937, in Elkins, a daughter of the late George Washington Leary and Melissa (Crookshank) Leary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. Betty is survived by one sister, Eula Loane of Shinnston, WV; a brother, Darius "Jerry" Leary of Elkins; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
