Bernice Marie Pike, 75, of Ashton, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at the University of Kentucky Health Care, Lexington, KY. She was born August 30, 1939, in Ashton, a daughter of the late Pearly Edward Pike and Edith Marie (Waugh) Pike. Bernice was in nursing for 40 years, retiring from Lakin Hospital in 2005. Her family church where she attended was Ball's Chapel at Ashton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Sturgeon, Ruby Martin, Hazel Cuckler and Bonnie Holley; and two brothers, James W. Pike and Donald Pike. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Gayle Edmonds of Elgin, IL and Stefanie Marie (D.J.) Holding of Commerce, TX; a son, Richard Russell Driscoll Jr. of Ashton; one sister, Stella Knapp of Glenwood; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Mark Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Ball's Chapel Cemetery in Ashton.
