Belva Imogene (Kouns) Kiser, 81, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at home. She was born May 2, 1929 in Hitchins, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Clayton Kouns and Iona May (Broom) Kouns. Belva was a homemaker, and member of First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrel V. Kiser; and four brothers, Lawrence, Boyd, James and Lewis Kouns. Belva is survived by two daughters, Renee (John) Howard of Gallipolis Ferry, and Sheri Kiser of Columbus, OH; one son, Ralph Kiser of Point Pleasant; two sisters, Wilma Workman of North Ridgeville, OH, and Pam (Grover) Daniels of Whitesville, WV; two brothers, Charles (Billie) Kouns of Talcott, WV, and Joseph (Nancy) Kouns of Creston, OH; a special sister-in-law, Ada Burge of Point Pleasant; two brothers-in-law, Earl Kiser and Gene Kiser; and sisters-in-law, Helen Burton and Donna Lou Horton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor James Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
